Sidmouth, 2000
Jackstraws usually dance with all the other sides in the world on the promenade on Sunday Lunchtime at the Sidmouth Folk Festival.
This year, we were invited to dance at one of the Market Square displays during the week. We got a side together with the help of some past members, and one very young stand-in (10-year old Alice, who has never danced with us
before but her Mum's a former foreman of the side!)
Our newest recruit very quickly learnt our version of Adderbury 'Beaux of London City'
Fieldtown Shepherd's Hey
Fran has not danced with us for two years, and Christine has not danced with us for ten
years, but they remember the old dances wonderfully (considering their age!)
