Jackstraws danced at the Hare and Hounds at Rowledge near Farnham on 16 September 2005 to say 'Goodbye and Good Luck' to our youngest dancer, Lucy Heath, who is off to university. Lucy tells us she's always loved dancing, and when she joined Jackstraws a year ago, she was a joy to teach. She worked hard and learned very quickly, so she was able to dance with the team through the summer, including at Winchester Folk Day and at the Sidmouth Festival in Devon. Lucy is going to Sheffield University to study politics and philosophy - and is also looking forward to the vibrant music and dance scene in Sheffield, including an excellent women's morris team, Pecsaetan.

Jackstraws will miss Lucy, but she says she will be back to dance with us again in the summer. Meanwhile, we wish her all the best for her studies and her social life. See you soon, Lucy!
