Jackstraws Day of Dance 2002 dawned bright and sunny on Saturday, 15th June, 2002. Most people gathered at the village of Rowledge (just south of Farnham) to board the coaches to start the day's activities.
A large number of guests had joined us to celebrate 25 Years of Jackstraws, and the first dance spots were for about an hour at various points around Farnham. Then it was back to the coaches for a trip to The Potters, a large
Pub/Restaurant in Mytchett, right next to the Basingstoke Canal.
Everyone had an opportunity to dance on the patio outside the pub, while enjoying the sunshine and listening to the shouts of other people in the pub watching one of England's World Cup football matches (which England won!).
The it was back to Rowledge for more dancing, then tea and cakes in the village hall. The day was finished off with a ceilidh in the evening.
